MY DEAR FRIENDS AND FOLLOWERS, how are you today, I hope you are doing great. You are welcome again. Today let me share with you the qualities and skills you need to develop and nurture if you must become a leader.
Most of the leaders you see and admire today, whether in politics,business, entrepreneurship, religions ,professions or in any other area of human endeavor were not born as leaders, most of them worked at it and earned it essentially by developing leadership skills.
Ladies and gentlemen, permit me to share some of these skills and qualities which when applied you will see in most of them, which you too can develop even better irrespective of your field,your calling, your profession or career.
(1)SET GOALS AND PRIORITIES
Most of the leaders you see and admire
today are not just everyday people who do
just anything,everything, NO they set their
life goals and priorities, they tenaciously
stay with them until they get results. It is a
leadership skill you must develop
(2)ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS
Becoming a good and successful leader
presupposes that you aspire to manage
people,systems and processes. All of the
leaders you want to be like have these
traits in common:- skill to manage people
systems and processes. You must develop it
(3)THINKING OUT OF THE BOX.
THINKING out of box simply means having skills to
get uncommon solution to address a
challenge, I tell you most of the leaders
and mentors that set the pace and rule the
world in all fields have developed this skill.
My dear friend, if you work at it, you too
can, indeed you must irrespective of your
calling,field,career or profession.
(4)BUILD YOUR TEAM,INCLUDE OTHERS
It is very rare,practically impossible for you
to do it alone and become a successful
leader or mentor. All the leaders you
admire and want to be like, before
attaining such heights built their teams
and included others around their goals,
visions and ideas, check it out. It is a
leadership skill you must carefully,
painstakingly develop.
(5) BE A COACH, A MENTOR
LEADERSHIP is all about people,systems
and processes. For people to buy into your
ideas,goals and visions, you must have
and they must see in you stuffs,abilities
and capacities that are of values, I mean
real values to which they can relate and
tap from. They must see in you abilities
and capacities that you cannot only
COACH THEM BUT HAVE ALL IT TAKES
TO SERVE AS THEIR MENTOR.
