CYBER CRIME , A MISDIRECTED TALENT

MY GOOD FRIENDS, MY FANS AND FOLLOWERS AS WELL, I again welcome you to my blog, the platform where together, we look at all issues in career, business, skills, professions and relationships. Today please come with me , together let's take a look at CYBER CRIME. By whatever measure or standard Nigerians are endowed, extra ordinarily intelligent, they anytime, anywhere can compete and beat any other national to whatever game of intelligence. They have in many areas of human endeavors proven this. Nigerians are very resourceful and have all it takes to achieve that to which their mind is directed positively or negatively. Like many other set of Nigerians, on and offline, I have met and widely kwowingly or unknowingly, interacted with cyber criminals most of whom are youths, heavily skilled, intelligent, educated, exposed and intellectually sound. Some of them are from respected homes and background, it then amazes me to no end why Nigerians of all of these sterling qualities, who ordinarily ought to be or aspire to become giants, captains and authorities in various areas of human engagements:- business, skills, careers, computing, banking etc.chosen or for whatever reason made them to go into cyber crime. One common thread or set of excuses most of these mostly young Nigerians will give you as being responsible for their choosing cyber crime as a profession are to blame the government, to blame the society, to blame their parents, to blame lack of structure or blame lack of enabling environment for them to practise a more noble profession for which they are equipped and skilled. My dear friends and followers, I contend this, it is not acceptable because by whatever means they were acquired, here we are talking of a group of highly educated, intelligent, heavily skilled people who if otherwise have directed/channeled all of these qualities in them to a more noble cause or profession, would have most certainly been more successful.They are educated, skilled, intelligent, sophisticated, exposed, they effectively, effortlessly use some of the most powerful, sophisticated computer programs to perpetrate, penetrate and hack.Their excuses and blame game are ,primarily not tenable, not acceptable because of all of these qualities in them which if more properly, positively channelled would most certainly make them more successful. Linda Ikeji is about the most successful blogger in Nigeria, she blogs about news, entertainment, gists and gossips, her talents and skills are Internet/computer based, she tapped and developed these fully and she is known the world over as the most successful, famous Nigerian blogger, I do not know of any Nigerian cyber crime person(a.k.a) YAHOO BOY that is as successful and as famous as Linda, what I do know for real is that some of the Yahoo boys are more savvy, more intelligent and better grounded on computer/internet, the only snag being that their knowledge, talents and skills are misdirected or directed at wrong, negative causes and THE EFFECT ON THEM IS ANALOGOUS OF A MAN WHO IS GIVEN A PALACE BUT DECIDES TO ABANDON IT AND PLAY AROUND WITH TOYS. Ladies and gentlemen, my friends and followers, from both within and outside of Nigeria, we have thousands of people, young guys who through positve and noble use of their internet/computer talents and skills are today pacesetters, models, giants and authorities in their respective fields. Let me give you one more illustrative example. Muyiwa Afolabi, by all standards is a successful and acclaimed international blogger, he blogs mainly on inspiration/motivation but by the side organises seminars on business, skills and careers. His talents and skills are internet/computer based. I do not know of any yahoo guy anywhere in the world that is as successful and as famous as him, what I do know for real is that among Yahoo boys in Nigeria, we most certainly have some of them that are more savvy ,intelligent, more hardworking and more skilled on internet/computing, the only snag being that their talents and skills are misdirected or at best directed at the wrong causes. My dear good friends it is instructive for you to note that talents and skills on internet/computer which you possess remain the largest and the most profitable today, the industry is the largest, it is the driver of the world economy, Mark Zukerberg ( Facebook founder) , the third richest man on earth is in the industry, Bill Gate of Microsoft( the richest man in the world) is also of internet/computer industry . Right here in Nigeria, Linda lkeji, Jide Ogunsanya, Noble Igwe, Onibalusi Bamidele, NiyiAdesanya,Sedan Kareem, Ubong Essien, Lanre Olusola, Fela Durotoye among others are top rated millionaires , acclaimed and celebrated around the world, their talents and skills are internet/computer based, if they had chosen to direct their talents and skills towards CYBER CRIME, they wouldn't be this successful, they wouldn't have been this known and celebrated around the world. Therefore my good friends, away with cyber crime, away with crimes as a whole . You are sufficiently talented, sufficiently skilled, sufficiently educated, sufficiently polished and exposed. With that same internet/computer talents and skills already in you, you could be more successful, live a freear life(not that of a prisoner). You should rather be a positive change agent you are created to be, in you is a giant, a nation builder, a pacesetter, a model and indeed a game changer.AWAY WITH THE CRIMINALITY BEFORE YOU ARE CAUGHT , AWAY WITH THE BLAME GAME. Before it is too late, quit CYBER CRIME, you are equipped for better missions,your education, your talents and your skills represent THE PALACE GIVEN TO YOU, DON'T ABANDON IT AND PLAY AROUND WITH TOYS, YOU BELONGS TO THE NOBLES. In career, business, relationship and other areas of human engagements, very often we create the the problem, the impression that we need the validation of every other person, their approval, yes to the extent of it's consistency with the dos and donts of our creator, all of these should be observed, there is culture everywhere, in everythig we do , the culture of your place of birth, career, business and professional cultures. I will not be the one to tell you it is wrong to observe cultures, at least to the extent of their CONSISTENCY but i can tell you that before others validate and/or approve you , you must be you, you must be your own favorite BE YOU OWN FAVORITE.
