HOW TO PLAN YOUR CAREER LIFE

MY DEAR FRIENDS, MY FANS, MY FOLLOWERS, ladies and gentlemen it's nice meeting you again on the talkshow, the platform " TALENT HUB" the platform where issues in careers, business, skills and relationships are thrashed and lights beamed with a view to making you the best you can in any area of human engagements. You are welcome. Today, please come along with me, let's take a look at the issue of what your career goals ought to be, the ideal ULTIMATE CAREER GOAL. As it is with your purpose in creation, your goal in marriage, your desire for going into business, religion/spirituality or that of choosing a profession, have you for once, in every honesty fundamentally asked yourself: WHY AM I IN OR GOING INTO PAID CAREER EMPLOYMENT?. Consciously or unconsciously there is no single person in career or aiming for a career to whom this question will be directed and will not give some responses among which these are common:- 🌑i want to make money🌑i want to get to the pinnacle of my profession🌑 i want to become the COO of my company🌑 i want to get job satisfaction etc, etc.Yes my dear friends, all of these are true and are a common set of aspirations, desires and visions of everyone in paid employment, but the facts are that they remain largely primary goals and you need a roadmap, a compass, a mission/vision statement that will not only lead you to achieving these primary goals but are sure footed for your navigation to the secondary, ULTIMATE goal in career. You see, career life is entirely a whole world of it's own, it is an informal school whose first degree is higher than the highest obtainable from the best, formal academic institution. The career worl is a training ground where practically SKILLS are informally taught on how to employ, deploy, blend, integrate, aggregate and manage people, resources,systems, processes, structures and procedures. Whether done with formal or informal organization, a career life and all it offers, is a life at one time or the other, you must live in order for you to be prepared for and be well grounded for the secondary, ultimate GOAL in career, it is the life , the school most of the masters, giants,mentors, leaders, moguls, game changers and business pace setters of today and all times around the world (who are not necessarily of the best academic degrees) attended. My friends, fans and followers in retrospect, take a deep look at Bill Gate of Microsoft/google, Jeffrey Bezos of Amazon, Mark Zukerberg of Facebook and here in Nigeria, take a look at Aliko Dangote of Dangote group, Mike Adenuga of Globacom, Femi Otedola of Forte Oil, and Folorunsho Alakija who by Forbes rating are the richest in the world, they are ruling the business world in their respective fields as moguls, masters, mentors, models, game changers and pace setters. Some of the facts,common trends you will find in most of these people are that:- (1) non of them is an academic professor, so in terms of academic education, in a roll call of the first five millions around the world, non of them will make the list. (2) With first degree or something below, virtually all of them, through formal or informal organization lived career lives at one time or the other where they were practically groomed, prepared for the business world. Therefore, my good friends what all of these tell you is that irrespective their academic attainments, these people are certified best managers of people, resources, systems, structures, processes and procedures, they effectively deploy, combine, integrate and blend them perfectly to achieve great business GOALS.In other words, as their primary career goals when they were living the career lives,beyond making money, reaching the pinnacle of their career, deriving job satisfaction in their paid employment, these people learned the arts and acquired all the necessary business management skills they use today to become the largest employers of best brains and labour. Again ladies and gentlemen, with these I am putting it across to you that YOUR ULTIMATE GOAL in career should be, while living career life in career school ,to acquire practical organizational skills, administrative skills, management skills, business communication skills, soft/people management skills, computer/internet skills as well as mentoring skills that will at your point of exit from career,paid employment world turn you to employers of brains and labour. It is only then at the end of the day,you will end up creating wealth and lifetime legacies that will outlive you for posterity. These are what the legends, the masters, the pacesetters and game changers have in common, this is the way they went about it,I stand to be challenged, this is the way you should plan your career life, within this you have many subsets. THIS IS THE ROADMAP FOR YOUR ULTIMATE CAREER GOAL.
