MY DEAR FRIENDS,FANS,FOLLOWERS ladies and gentlemen. Once again you are welcome to TALENTS, SKILLS AND CAREERS, the forum and platform where all issues in relationship, career, business and professions are interactively discussed. Today, I will be beaming lights on a lesson everyone in any form relationship can learn from though from the angle of a marriage relationship.
Ike and Racheal have been married for some ten years, blessed with two beautiful children, it has so far been rosy affair. They both enjoy and probably couldn't have wished for something better. One day, Rachel developed a skin disease and slowly she started losing her beauty. It so happened that one day Ike left her for a tour. While returning, he had an accident and "lost his eyesights". However, none of these incidents negatively affected their relationship, they continued as usual. However, in the course of time, Recheal gradually, totally lost her beauty and because Ike is now blind, he is not aware of this and there was no any difference in the love they had for each other in the marriage, he continued to love her and she also loved him very much.
One day, Rachael died, her dearth brought so much sorrow to lke and after finishing all the burial rites,Ike wanted to leave the town for another. On his way, a man from behind called out and said" lke how will you be able to walk alone?" for we know all these years, your wife has always been a pillar of support to you. Ike looked backed and replied "I am not blind" I only acted to be because if my wife had knew of her ugliness, it would have pained her even more than her disease. She was a very good wife, I only wanted to keep her happy.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, my dear friend within this short story, there are many lessons you, you and you can learn in relationship management. One of the central lessons is that sometimes it is good for us to act blind to the faults and shortcomings of our loved ones, friends or partners in marriage, career, business or any other area of human engagement. Another is that a good, enduring relationship is not the one that is not tested, they are those that against all odds survive all the tests/trials though the mutual understanding and reciprocity of all the parties/ stakeholders.
Married or not, whether in career, marriage, profession or business, relationships exist to which the general lessons of this story could be applied.
Ladies and gentlemen, it's been my pleasure sharing this story and all the lessons therein with you. It is my hope that everyone, I mean you, you and you will not only pick up one or two lessons from the post but after reading, add more lessons and share same with all our friends of the BLOG.
NOTE: This ARTICLE is an adaptation of a post sent to me by one of my mentors and a senior friend of the blog from ASIA. I am immensely grateful to him.
